Incorrect translations can decrease financial revenue although they sometimes appear to be charming. Quite often they show immediately that they're not done by a native speaker.
Grammatically they should be without any bloopers (cases, articles). Not rarely a certain 'feeling' for the text is missing and consequently it doesn’t match the genre, e.g. advertizing or literature.
Additionally particular texts in the legal, financial or technical areas simply need to be 100% correctly translated.
Since the tasks are always changing I like to be flexible on all aspects. If there are special requirements then it would be easiest to have a discussion via phone.
I would appreciate to help private persons as well as companies who would like to localize their software documentation or want to set up areviewed internet portal. Although it might seem I am stating the obvious here: The translation work should be (and is) based upon trust and discretion from my side |

The experience shows that it still hangs in translating of manuals although the times of the handbook-Chinese are past. Nevertheless also linguistically clean translations remain again and again incomprehensible because the target group and the level of understanding of the user is not conidered. Massive manuals become translated 1:1 and the goal that remain simplification of the installation and the minimization of costs for support. Therefore I would like always to offer a complete solution on linguistic, technical and didactic level. Based on my 5-year-old experience in the IT sector (Hewlett Packard, Phoenix BIOS), I would like to do consultancy before the actual translation takes place. |
